Wake Up TriCounties OSF Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the sad truth is that during the pandemic many people chose to put off getting a breast exam out of fear over COVID-19. This lack of a mammogram could be the difference between catching breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat, and not catching it in time before it can grow and spread and become even more deadly. Connie Weston and Samantha Rux from OSF Saint Luke Medical Center joined Wake Up TriCounties on Monday morning to talk about Mammograms and to encourage women to get back to getting regular breast exams. Early detection is the key to saving lives from Breast Cancer.
