Exclusive Interview With Disney’s ”Wish” Composer David Metzger

This week, Walt Disney Animation Studios released its latest movie, "Wish", in cinemas around the world. The film tells the story of Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, who makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico—to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.

Recently, I got to speak with the composer of the film, David Metzger, who has worked on many of the greatest Disney films over his 25-year career, including "Moana", "Avengers" and "Frozen". David also most recently worked on the score for the "Once Upon A Studio" short that revived beloved characters, paying tribute to Walt Disney, and Metzger has beautifully crafted the music that will resonate with audiences everywhere. Both "Wish" and "Once Upon A Studio" are celebrating Disney's 100th anniversary.
