Barbra Streisand

Barbra Streisand had established herself as a musical theater performer and recording artist when she made her movie acting debut in the screen adaptation of the Broadway show "Funny Girl" (1968). It's impressive that Streisand won the Academy Award as Best Actress for her portrayal of Fanny Brice in that movie. HCC film professors Marie Westhaver and Mike Giuliano devote this podcast episode to Streisand's screen career, in which her many acting roles eventually led to her also directing and producing.
