Rob Whittet is the Principal Partner of The Brokerage Insurance Group, The BIG. Such a great name! Why would a business owner need commercial insurance? In today's episode, Rob fills us in on some not so obvious insurance needs business owners might face. Are you familiar with Key Player insurance? Until Rob and I sat down for our pre-interview, I wasn't. I think it's a great way to care for a business partner or employee. Ultimately it protects the business just in case you or your business partner leaves this life and goes on to the next one. As business owners we need to treat our business as an asset and do everything we can to protect our #1 asset. Having the right insurance in place looks good to prospective buyers if or when you decide to exit. We don't know what we don't know until the right person comes along and enlightens us.
