041 - Riley Kirk: The Importance of Cannabis Education

One of the most heated topics over the last 50 years in the US has been cannabis. Some people think that there is nothing wrong with it. While others think that it's the worst thing in the world and can lead to much more dangerous behaviors. 

On this episode of Limitless, I talk with Riley Kirk, who wears multiple hats within the cannabis industry. With having a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and being a user of the plant, her aim is to bridge the gap between the science of cannabis and the common user so people can make more informed decisions about the potential positive and negative effects. She also does research for cannabis companies and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Rhode Island.

In this episode we talk about some of the myths of cannabis, why it's such a hot topic still to this day, and how the fastest growing segment of cannabis users are senior citizens. But before we touch on anything cannabis related, we first talk about another passion of Riley's - homesteading.
