16: Maintain, the Final Step to Long-term Success

The final and crucial step of the 7-Step R.E.C.L.A.I.M. process is Maintain. In this step, you will create a plan and a system to purposefully maintain this new space, recruiting any other people that utilize or enjoy this space. Systems can include organizational tools, schedules, processes to distribute responsibilities, and communication systems.

 

When properly executing this step, long-term success for your new space will be achieved. 

 

Many people become frustrated because the created system breaks down due to lack of self-discipline and accountability. Is this due to an over complicated system, lack of communication with others or lack of motivation to practice new habits.
