MESSAGE SUMMARY: If God has forgiven you, why do you have to confess your sins? Confession is for you so that you to forgive as the Christ forgives you. Your forgiving others means that you release others from the offense that you believe they have committed against you. Jesus set the “forgiveness standard” for you as Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32: “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.".
