As you very well know holiday treats and bingeing season is here! And our kids are at their most vulnerable "sugar" state. This is the time that they are not in school, they're mostly at home, with the pantry and the refrigerator open 24/7 and they're joining lotsa family gatherings and parties as well which most likely also serves sweets. Because hey it's Christmas. What's Christmas without the sweets yes? Haha!

As you very well know holiday treats and bingeing season is here! And our kids are at their most vulnerable "sugar" state. This is the time that they are not in school, they're mostly at home, with the pantry and the refrigerator open 24/7 and they're joining lotsa family gatherings and parties as well which most likely also serves sweets. Because hey it's Christmas. What's Christmas without the sweets yes? Haha!
But if we aren't careful and if we aren't aware how much is too much for our lil ones they might go overboard and they will suffer from the consequences. And I'm not just talking about long term effects- obesity, diabetes, heart disease, tooth decay etc. But I'm also talking immediate effects such as lowering of immune system, risk for infections, hyperactivity, tantrums and meltdowns which we don't want to happen during the holidays because of course we want to spend time with them.
So yes mommas our fast fact friday today will be all about how much is too much sweets for our littles and inside also are 5 HACKS on how to cut down their sugar intake during the holidays.
