Mid-Session 18 Feb 19: Shares lift on US-China trade hopes

The Australian sharemarket is firmer on Monday following a solid lead from Wall Street on Friday. Gains from banks, mining, energy and healthcare stocks are helping most. Companies out with earnings today are losing ground.
