Ascension: God’s Promise of Hope

Feast of the Ascension. 6.01.25.

In this homily, I reflect on the significance of Ascension Day and its meaning in our lives. Through three different experiences involving a suffering man, a dying man, and joyful children receiving their first communion, I explore how the resurrection and ascension of Jesus bring hope and purpose. Without the empty tomb, life and suffering are meaningless. But with Jesus' sacrifice, we find hope, strength, and meaning, empowered by the Holy Spirit to transform our lives.
