US Close 16 May 19: Shares lift on easing trade tensions

The US sharemarket improved for a second day in volatile trade following President Trump’s decision to postpone additional tariffs on cars and parts, reports the US is close to removing tariffs on Canada and Mexico and that negotiators will likely travel to Beijing soon.
