52 - The Dual Income Trap

Today on the show, I give an explanation of of a concept popularized by US Senator Elizabeth Warren. The Dual Income Trap is when a couple builds a lifestyle around both spouses working, but then find there to be zero flexibility when kids come along or when one spouse becomes unable to work. When this happens, One of the spouses can no longer work and then there is only one income to support the previously established two income lifestyle.
