My healing journey with Hashimoto Autoimmune Thyroid dis-ease

Have you ever felt ashamed of not being perfect? 

That something must be wrong with you or you did something wrong because your health is not perfect?

I know I did when I found out that my body is healing through Hashimoto Autoimmune dis-ease. 

 

This year was so eventful for all of us. With what is happening in the world we all felt we have really full plates. 

 

Plus adding to the plate all the events that I have experienced this year really took a toll on my body. 

 

In January it really all started when I was in Czech Republic taking care of my grandma and not even knowing those were the last weeks of her life. 

 

I quit using birth control and started to learn of the effects it had on my body as I was using it for two decades! 

 

Sometimes we don’t know what we don’t know. So learning with my ND DR. Katherine Zagone who was supporting me and my husband on our fertility journey was heart and eye opening.

Next events didn’t wait long…..

 

My blood testing showed high antibodies in my Thyroid and also 3.9 TSH (attempting to have under 2.5 when wanting to get pregnant). 

When I learned this I didn’t freak out yet it was uncomfortable. 

 

April 5 days before my birthday my dearest grandma transitioned, June on our wedding day my grandpa transitioned and in July our landlord told us unexpectedly we get to move out. 

 

All these things are big life events and no matter how well we might think we are handling it, it is still a stress on our bodies. 

 

I believe that this stress plus quitting birth control is what contributed to my thyroid not being well. 

 

And when I hear people saying that Hashimoto is the body attacking itself, my body just cringes. 

I am not a dr. yet I resonate with what Medical Medium (Anthony William) is teaching... That autoimmune isn’t the body being confused and attacking itself. 

It is the body attacking a virus EBV that these days isn’t easily detected by doctors with all of its varieties. 

 

That is my belief and it feels right to me. 

 

I believe I was called to Tulum...To heal my body, to sooth my soul, to nourish myself and reconnect with water and with nature. 

 

I believe things are happening FOR us not TO us.

 

You might not be able to change all that is happening in the world or your body yet you can always choose how you are feeling with all that is happening and choose to do what feels right.
