Hey, We're digging deep today to find that our need to plan and work and do everything to hit those goals may be rooted in the need to control. God really hit me with a good one when he revealed that my striving to do the tasks were all to make sure I could get the result I want and therefore I wasn't trusting Him. ouch. I thought I was wide open and surrendered and seeking him. And I think we all do. But hidden down in there, we still want to be able to go the direction we want to go. To be productive and do all the things. But...

We're digging deep today to find that our need to plan and work and do everything to hit those goals may be rooted in the need to control.

God really hit me with a good one when he revealed that my striving to do the tasks were all to make sure I could get the result I want and therefore I wasn't trusting Him. ouch.

I thought I was wide open and surrendered and seeking him. And I think we all do. But hidden down in there, we still want to be able to go the direction we want to go. To be productive and do all the things. But underneath is all is this root issue of control.

So we're exploring the idea of self-control in the bible and how it correlates to trusting God. I pray this blesses and challenges you today!
