What Do You Need to Unsubscribe From?

When we adjust and adapt to something that doesn’t serve us, it’s like we’re subscribing to it.

Sometimes we can find ourselves perpetuating situations and relationships that are not in alignment with who we are today.

What are you subscribing to that is limiting you? What or who have you been accommodating that doesn’t serve you, and maybe never did?

Here’s what it looks like when we subscribe to something that doesn’t work for us:

· We minimize the situation and its impact on us.

· We act as if the problem doesn’t exist.

· We apply a band aid or temporary fix to the situation.

· We convince ourselves that we don’t have the energy, time, or money to do anything else.

· And we believe that any other way would be too hard.

When we recognize that we have been overly adaptive, we may get to a point where we want to say, “No more.” But we may feel stuck because we don’t want to ruffle any feathers, or we’re overwhelmed at the thought of doing the necessary work.
