Self Control

True freedom is freedom not to sin. Self-control is the power to say no to myself. It is the power to discipline my thoughts, speech and actions to glorify God . It is an inward strength, courage and moral restraint to master myself.

He that has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. Proverbs 25:28 Ruling my own spirit is maturity. Children must be intentionally trained to rule themselves. I must intentionally place boundaries in my life to keep myself upright.
