ENCOUNTERING JESUS

• An encounter with Jesus leaves a lasting impression and an indelible mark.

WHO IS JESUS?

• Everything God does is for a cause.

• Scriptural references: Romans 1:26, 2 Thessalonians 2:22, John 12:27, John 18:37.

TWO REASONS WHY JESUS CAME

• To put God in us, to put divinity in humanity (1 John 4:4, 10; 2 Corinthians 6:16; Colossians 1:27).

• To give us His life, eternal life (1 John 5:5-12).

THE LIFE JESUS GAVE

• Zoe life: the nature of God, eternal life.

• The life Jesus gave us is the very life of God, changing our nature (2 Corinthians 5:17, James 1:18).

HAVING AN ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS

• Believe in Him.

• Believe in His name.

• Seek Him through the word of God.

CONCLUSION

• Encountering Jesus changes our source and nature.

• Understanding God in us makes a world of difference.
