In the opening segment, Jacob talks about his need to and what he did to kick his recovery work into a new gear after a couple years off kratom.  Never addicted to anything before other than caffeine, Ryan S. talks about his progression from powder to extracts to 7ohm products, and his many failed attempts to quit before he went to a seven-day detox center in January 2025. After a family tragedy and strong urges to use kratom again, Ryan S. decided to pursue medicated assisted treatment to part of a relapse prevention strategy to maintain kratom assistance long-term.
