Would you support a Government grant for Grandparents?

The Independent Alliance announced today that they are proposing an annual grant of €1000 for grandparents who look after their grandchildren for more than 10 hours per week. They say they want to honour the work done by Grandparents who ensure parents can go out out to work. Would you support this payment?
