Jesus' name means the Lord is my salvation. At this time the name "Jesus" was a very common name. They would name their children after the longing of their heart. "Thou art become my salvation" was the very cry of their heart, that the Lord would indeed be their salvation. They called him "Jesus". The name was common and even though it was a common name, yet all the prayers invested in all the others named Jesus, in this one they truly met. For this Jesus is the Lord our salvation. He is not a prayer, he is the answer. You can send questions or comments to jim.moore77@hotmail.com or join us on our website at www.rhythmsofgracecommunityfellowship.com.
