How to be a good Christian Sinner

Sin is a complex matter. In the church we often spend much time assessing whether certain behaviors are sin. Pastor Phil Kniss encouraged us as Christ-followers to re-assess how we talk about sin. Jesus was not hesitant to speak of the sins of people. Jesus was also very compassionate to persons who sinned. Take for example Jesus' response to the woman in Luke 7:36-50. But in Romans 3:22-31, sin is connected to a break in our relationship with God. We will understand sin better if we start with the Cross and keep in mind God's work to repair the relationship between humans and God. By God's grace we are freed from the bondage of sin, freed from separation from God.
