The Bible can be divided into 15 periods of Bible History. Recognizing these divisions is helpful for organizing the Bible chronologically in the mind and relating the various books to one another. The sixth of these 15 Periods is called the Period of the Conquest of Canaan. This period extends from the crossing of the Jordan River to the death of Joshua (Joshua 1:1-24:33). [This lesson covers Rahab and the Spies and the Conquest of Jericho.]
