In the second part of this series, we consider the power of God in our weaknesses. Indeed, we are a weak people, made so by the limitations of our fallen humanity. We are weak in our spirits and weak in our bodies. We are unable to muster the strength to navigate the demands life places in us, in spite of our best efforts.
Children of God are weak. That is why our savior came. He came to save us from our weakness-in-chief; sin! And while he has ultimately done that and left us in these weak bodies, he has not left us without a help for our ongoing inhibitions borne by the flesh. We are unable to truly live as God expects us to and to confirm to his holy standards.
God is in ultimate wisdom has gone ahead of us and provided a way out. In this sermon, our pastor cast the light on God's provision for his children in their ongoing battle with weakness. His Son had guaranteed our ultimate victory and while we await his glory, his Holy Spirits strengthens us and helps us along the way.
