Collaborative transdisciplinary research may be more challenging than your average research project, but the results are worth it! Listen to part 2 of our conversation with a transdisciplinary research team as they chat about their experience doing transdisciplinary research for the first time as early career researchers. We also speak with Dr. Nicole Motzer, Assistant Director for Interdisciplinary Science at the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center, to get her perspective on why transdisciplinary research is important in fisheries and what tools exist for getting started in this type of research. To hear more reflections and recommendations on the transdisciplinary research process, check out the team's publication.
