Rebecca McLean once suffered from a family condition, liver cancer. At the age of 19 she was given six weeks to live. She decided to live in a cabin in the woods for fourteen months and by communing with nature and her own connection to God, overcame her battle with liver cancer. She went on to learn many holistic practices which she uses today to help her clients. After a life of as a holistic healer and much success , she would now like to apply her skills to mentor women on gaining the right mindset  on how to face challenges in any area of your life.  Also understand the value of networking and community, how to set up the right support systems to implement self-care practices to handle work balance issues and secure their success as an entrepreneur and as a  woman. Also how to understand the unique contributions women make in business today is setting new benchmarks, and creating transformative shifts in how industries operate, compete and thrive.

Guest Bio: Rebecca McLean at the young age of 19 survived liver cancer, after being told she had 6 weeks to live. She has worked in the healthcare industry since 1974, originally in occupational therapy. She then branched out to develop and implement wellness programming for schools and corporations as well as multidisciplinary medical programming for hospitals and medical practices. Later Rebecca co-founded Health Action Clinic in 1983 along with Circle of Life Holistic Coaching Systems – put together with a team of health care practitioners, consultants and trainers in integrative and complementary medicine. This form of Life coaching has been implemented in hospitals, clinics, community centers, schools, churches, social agencies, universities, wellness programs, and even correctional facilities. She is also the co-founder of Healer Within Foundation, which teaches self healing practices free of charge to others and communities. Rebecca is the founder of Wise Women Rising. helping women step into their power and purpose, to create a more fulfilling personal and professional life. She mentors women on gaining the right mindset to Face challenges and the value of networking and community, and what are the right support systems to implement such as self care practices to handle work balance issues to secure their success as a woman and as an entrepreneur. As a leader she often is a presenter at conferences throughout the U.S. Rebecca was awarded the VIP Woman of the Year for Health & Wellness in 2010 – 2011 by the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
