I have had a lot of people asking me whether Bitcoin is better then gold? I have also had comments saying that Bitcoin is like the next gold rush.

Bitcoin is nothing like gold. Gold has been traded and used as a store of wealth for thousands of years across human culture. It is a precious metal that is rare and can also be used for lots of purposes such as jewelry, machinery, computing etc.

Bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency that has increased in price due to pure speculation and not because of any fundamental value. In fact Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are worth very little.
