Luke 12:1-12
On the Road with King Jesus. On the road to Jerusalem Jesus has told to his disciples things in private, which will eventually be made widely known.
He calls his disciples his friends, and tells them to fear God, yet not be afraid.
Fear God means a proper respect for God, that keeps us from sinning. Yet we ought not be afraid because God is our loving Father who sees and cares. He does not forget even the sparrows.
He explains that the Spirit will give words to say, when the world coerces us to go its way. The times ahead may be very difficult for those who follow Jesus.
