#04 How to be an influencer-in real life.

We'd all like to have more influnce on those around us and and the key to this depends on which level we're listening. Catri explores the awkward truth that most of us are only cosmetically listening and how this can create barriers to our success in both our work and personal lives.

When we are actively listening we not only hear what people are saying but we are able to pick up on the vital cues that tell us what they aren't saying, which can give us a much deeper understanding of the speaker. By moving deeper than the superficial levels of listening we are able to pick up on more than just the words that are coming out of someones mouth. This not only helps build stronger and deeper connections with others, but also puts us in a better position to gather information that might benefit help us move towards our own goals, whatever they may be.
