Market Close 10 Oct. 2019: Local shares retreat ahead of US China trade talks

Local investors opted for caution on Thursday ahead of the much discussed trade talks between the US and China. Contradictory headlines ahead of the talks whipsawed markets although reports suggested that the US was contemplating delaying the increase in tariffs on $US250bn of imports from China on 15 October.
