PressTV Food not getting to Gaza fully

Aid agencies are in “a race against time” to get food and other humanitarian supplies into Gaza, a UN official has warned, as Israeli restrictions continue to impede deliveries across the bombarded enclave.Speaking on Tuesday, a senior spokesperson for the UN’s World Food Programme (WFP) noted that aid deliveries have increased since a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas came into effect last month. But only two crossings into Gaza are open, which “severely limits the quantity of aid” that the WFP and other agencies can bring in, said Abeer Etefa.“We need full access. We need everything to be moving fast. We are in a race against time. The winter months are coming. People are still suffering from hunger, and the needs are overwhelming,” she said.The U-N food agency says aid groups are racing against time to deliver food and other humanitarian supplies to Gaza to ease the suffering of Palestinians in the war-ravaged territory.The W-F-P spokesperson said the agency has so far managed to bring in only about half of the food aid required to meet the needs of people in Gaza. Etefa added that food prices have not fallen as much as expected since the Gaza ceasefire took effect. The truce agreement called for an average of 600 trucks of supplies per day to enter the territory, where famine was confirmed in August. That is while Gaza’s local administration says most of those trucks are still not reaching their destinations, as Israel hinders their entry. This is a public episode. North Carolina continues to Fall into the ocean and Federal Gov Does nothing

To be clear it doesn’t matter if the federal government was shut down or not. They already do nothing and have done nothing for many years. This problem didn’t start yesterday.That is the Island where the town of Buxton is. The water has moved +2000 feet. That’s almost half a mile. The water line was much further away that that when most of these homes and businesses were built in the 50s to 90s. It moved the last 147 feet in a few days after Hurricane Erin broke the last jetty. NO ONE built their house on the beach, much less next to the water. That would not even be legal.Picture from 2009Some of the large “homes” you see falling in the water are not homes they are motel units that many people stayed in. These businesses are also washing away.The beach is gone and unusable as it is now full of dangerous debris. You can see broken concrete because these structures were on concrete in the town not on the beach. The beach has moved because of rapid man made erosion. That WAS Buxton.These cannot be savedThey are standing on what was a poolThese properties were across the street from the ocean side almost on the Pamlico Sound.
