REST: THE DIVINE PATTERN

From the beginning of creation, God established rest as a divine pattern when He rested on the seventh day in the Book of Genesis, revealing that rest is part of His design for our lives. Our bodies heal and restore while we sleep, showing that physical rest reflects a deeper spiritual truth—trusting God instead of striving. From the Sabbath to Jesus’ invitation in the Gospel of Matthew 11:28 and the promise of rest in the Epistle to the Hebrews 4, Scripture shows that rest is both a command and a gift, and God calls us to walk in His rhythm of peace and surrender.

THE INDWELLING VS. THE INFILLING

In this bonus clip, I break down the biblical difference between receiving the Holy Spirit and being baptized (filled) with the Holy Spirit. While every believer receives the Spirit at salvation, Scripture also reveals a distinct empowerment that comes through the baptism of the Holy Spirit for boldness, witness, and effective ministry.

The laying on of hands is a biblical practice through which God releases blessing, healing, impartation, and commissioning, seen throughout Scripture in the ministry of Jesus and the early Church. The enemy works through heightened imaginations and satanic suggestions—subtle thoughts meant to plant fear, confusion, and deception. These are symptoms of witchcraft that try to pull your mind away from the truth of God’s Word. We must cast down every thought and imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and guard our minds with His peace.

ALIGNING OUR LIVES WITH THE WILL OF GOD

God’s divine will represents His perfect plan, the path of obedience and purpose that leads to His best for our lives. His permissive will, however, allows us to make choices outside that perfect plan—sometimes painful ones that He still uses to teach, shape, and redirect us.
