Ask Dr. B April – May 2023
00:00:06 - From a natural health perspective, why do people lose weight if they have cancer (assuming they do not go through chemo/radiation/surgery)? by EugeneJRL200:01:10 - What is the most effective and safe way to clean mold from the inside of a car, so that the car can be driven safely? by EugeneJRL200:01:38 - Also, what are things to look for when trying to find a good chiropractor in my area? by EugeneJRL200:02:30 - Will the posture pump restore the curve in my neck? By John Griffo00:03:30 - I'd like to know if there are any supplements that you would highly recommend during pregnancy? I am in week 20 of my pregnancy and outside of a prenatal, I take an iron and fish oil supplement. My energy levels have been very low, but until recently, the only thing I've had that has helped has been drinking celery juice in the mornings. If I don't my energy is extremely low. By Shanequa Kianzongani00:05:20 - Possible osteomyelitis. I was using a nail gun. Shot it and it hit a metal beam and came back hit me in the chest and poked my aorta vessel in my heart. Had emergency surgery, and the vessel was stitched up but got complications with the sternum getting infected. Sternum wires maybe? I think they might also be causing me pain which is why I want them out. The surgeon told me there is dead bone and tissue apparently from what the scans show and I will need a debridement. I do have a history of MRSA. He asked if I wanted to replace the wires with a plate and I said no. I don't want to have a foreign body in me possibly causing infection. He said it will help with sternum instability because I do feel a random click in there sometimes when moving. Am I making the right decision? by Dante Angulo00:08:00 - 1) Did you say you were in a car accident and had teeth knocked out? If so, how did you deal with it? (i.e. were you depressed from loss of teeth). I recently chipped a tooth and I've been feeling down about it lately since its noticeable when I smile ;(.2) They said the chipped tooth required a root canal and they said there was no other way. However, another doctor provided ozone so I would worry less. Is ozone sufficient enough to not half to worry of possible problems in the future with a root canal? by Kris thacker00:10:12 - Is it bad to consume flax seed oil? Supposedly is has a lot of estrogen in it, almost as much as soy. by Kris thacker00:11:06 - Are there benefits to putting urine on parts of your body (i.e. pain, skin conditions, hair loss, etc.)? by Kris thacker00:12:21 - Tics. My 4-year-old granddaughter started clearing her throat after she was sick. I don’t think it’s allergies, asthma or reflux. It seems more of nerves, she was in a dance recital and didn’t do it once! When she came home it was constant she had a big round swing she laid on I gave her peppermint oil on a tissue and she didn’t do it either but when she got off it started again. by Kathleen061400:14:17 - Inguinal hernia. Would you recommend any testosterone cream for it? by Kris thacker00:14:42 - Inguinal hernia. You suggested in your last "Ask Dr. B" to use a pelvic wrap, but I was never suggested to use one a few years back when I first became a patient. So just looking to see other methods to help heal my inguinal hernia. by Kris thacker00:16:30 - I have a few scars on my abdomen area from getting stabbed and surgery. Your clinic has helped adjust my abdomen and so far no pain in a while. Do you recommend looking for a neural therapist to help with blockage magnetic disturbance in the body caused by scars? I heard it can mess with how electricity flows thru the body. And do you recommend magnesium injections for scars? by Kris thacker00:19:32 - Have you heard good results of using black castor oil for hair loss? Do you apply it topically? by Kris thacker00:21:36 - Right side of body subluxation issues. 1. When I get cold, my right hand gets colder than the left. 2. Right foot occasional slight tingling. Some spider veins on inside of ankle. Left ankle no spider veins. Tingling happens while on my feet at work. 3. Around same time as tingling, I started getting receding gums on upper right side of mouth. Thermal scan shows issues with C1, C2, C7, T5, T8, L5, Sacrum. Is it possible that any of my subluxations could be causing any of my issues? Or would it be something totally different? by Scott Mason00:25:08 - Where have the monthly live Zoom Sundays with Dr. B gone? What's up? I haven’t received emails for them for quite a while. I think I signed on 5/21 since it was the 3rd Sunday of the month. Nothing was streaming at all. I’m not sure if that was the time we were waiting for quite a while, but Justin apologized for him & said that Dr. B had another commitment & couldn’t make it. A bit frustrating, to say the least, since I re-organized that day to specifically participate. by Cher_GLINKS AND IDEAS SHARED BY DR. Ask Dr. B February - March 2023
00:00:06 - I can get significantly nauseous when I supplement with Vitamin E (I take right after a meal, usually with fat). I’m wondering what is causing this and if I should discontinue or take differently. I usually take HoloZyme HCL and digestive enzymes with meals. by Nicole Berezny00:02:37 - I was a healthy active male until around 8 years ago. Feet started to hurt and there started to be a cracking sound in my ankle joints. Fast forward to now and I need a double hip replacement and my knees and all my joints are failing to the point where I can barely stand and I need a walker to move around. I am losing mobility. Orthopedics doctors are useless unless there is a surgery to perform. Can you recommend a DC that is in the Chicago area that could help me? By damien przybranowski00:07:47 - I am currently taking 600mg lithium and 40mg geodon. The nurse said she wasn't sure if I had bipolar disorder but said it could be. The problem is I find myself being really tired, slurred speech, and slow thinking when on geodon. I also noticed akathisia and find my body will rock back and forth very slowly when standing. When I take lithium at 830pm I am also out like a light until 4 in the morning. I sleep for hours. My doctor and parents are forcing me to take this meds. What is a way to detoxify and get off these drugs in a safe way instead of asking the doctor for alternative medication? by Chelsey Sanchez00:12:41 - Do you work with patient with an osteosarcoma history? My daughter had it on the left leg at 9 years old. A left lung nodule that was osteosarcoma at age 14. She did chemo and surgery for both. The oncologist wants her on a chemo pill. I am trying to find information about other alternative options. I'm wondering if I should get her in to see you for extra support for my daughter.by Lisbet Fuentes00:17:38 - My eyes are very sensitive to blue and florescent lights (they fatigue very easily). I also have had a few episodes of ocular migraines and would like to protect my eyes. I bought some cheap blue light blocking glasses on Amazon which do help somewhat. Can you recommend any affordable (but better than what is available on Amazon) blue light blocking glasses? The ones I've seen recommended on Extreme Health Radio and Nourishing Traditions are over $100-$150 each and well out of my price range! by Rachel Valladares00:21:10 - Nasal and Oral Probiotics. I live in a moldy house and have Lyme/Co-infections. I believe this led to me developing allergies. My herbalist recommended I use Snoot (Chlorine Dioxide nasal rinse). It definitely helps with my allergy and brain fog symptoms. Do I need to do anything to repopulate the nasal microbiome? On the same note, I wonder if there is anything we should be doing to maintain a good variety of beneficial bacterial in the mouth? by Rachel Valladares00:25:46 - My 12-year-old son has been complaining of intermittent pain in his left wrist for the past couple of years. It mostly occurs when he goes to bed late or if he is bored at school. It seems to be a dull ache on the inside of his wrist. He also gets overwhelmed very easily (especially learning about new things in school), to the point that he completely shuts down and gets very angry (seems like classic "fight or flight"). They found that his left hip and left shoulder are higher than the right, his mid-spine curves to (his) left and his neck curves to the right. Do you think the wrist pain and strong emotions are due to the curvature of his spine and unevenness of his hips and shoulders? What can we do to help him? by Rachel Valladares00:33:03 - In Nov 2021 you identified that I had a massive rotation at the top of the thoracic area that was causing my panic attacks and anxiety. I found a chiropractor that was able to implement your protocol and was seen about 70 times over the course of just over a year. Follow up x-rays show no more rotation in the upper thoracic. How long does it take for the body to move from a state of sympathetic dominance to parasympathetic dominance? When should the anxiety/panic begin to recede? I do still have a slight anterior spondylolisthesis at L5. Are pelvic sacral blocks useful to use at home to help correct this? by Rachel Valladares00:36:26 - My 64-year-old mother has muscle aches all over her body and feels fatigued. She has never felt like this before and feels like she had lower energy then usual. What could this be? by Gourav Mudhar00:40:04 - IBD/Colitis Our 12-year-old daughter was diagnosed with Ulcerative Proctitis. We were able to control the disease for a while, yet now she in a flare that we can't get her out of, which is including stomach pains to all foods and drinks and constant diarrhea. We have worked with two different naturopathic doctors in the past, yet feel that once they have exhausted all recommendations that they have, they are no longer in tune with working with us. We live in Ontario, Canada. Could you suggest a doctor within this area that we could contact? Any protocols we could follow? by Maggie Saad00:45:07 - I usually drink fruit shakes instead of eating breakfast. Recently after eating/drinking a bad combo of food i.e. after dinner, I had organic chocolate. Than 20 minutes later I drank a Non GMO ginger ale. 20 mins later I drank what was left of my blended fruit shake. And my stomach was feeling uneasy throughout the night. The next day the uneasiness got worse. After a colonic, the uneasiness went away. The next day, I drank a shake again, and felt uneasiness again. It got better after i had to go to the bathroom. I've taken a break from drinking fruit shakes for a few days now and so far so good. I also drank water + castor oil and that seemed to help "unstuck" me. Could it be bad to be drinking blended fruit shakes every day? by Kris thacker00:48:48 - My mom was told by an eye physician that she'll need cataract surgery in the future. I suggested not to do it. Are there any side effects of having cataract surgery? Are there any ways to heal the eyes of cataracts? by Kris thacker00:52:05 - I have a 26 yr old male friend. It has been about 2 months that he gets priapism, or basically his penis gets erection without any stimuli and he has had to go to the hospital to remove blood from there as a solution. The problem is getting more frequent and from once a month, it is now weekly. The doctors are out of ideas. He has got the jab. Otherwise, he's healthy and in good shape. by Mah Zad00:57:02 - My gums bleed when i floss. I went back to consuming Complex-C and Complex-B. Do you know what reasons this could be? What else I can do to prevent this? Background: I oil pull everyday, floss everyday, brush with baking soda, gargle with a.c.v. I've been taking oOegas 3, Vitamin C in powder, iodine, and digestive enzymes. I do liver cleanses and colon cleanses. by Kris thacker00:59:16 - About a month ago, I noticed 1 of my molar teeth sensitive when I floss it. As of a few weeks ago, it's gotten worse. It's now temperature sensitive, mostly when I consume something cold and the floss sensitivity has gotten worse. Any thoughts why? Anything I can do about this? Background info: this molar tooth is a crown i had put on at your clinic in Tijuana. I don't use commercial toothpaste. usually baking soda, sometimes with peroxide. Once in a while I gargle with a.c.v., pink salt, lemon essential oil, and cayenne pepper (mainly because of bleeding gums when i floss). I've also been oil pulling, almost every day now due to the tooth sensitivity. And I just finished a liver/gallbladder flush if that helps. Kris thacker01:02:01 - Is it ok to use an infrared sauna blanket or infrared sauna tent if you have mercury amalgam fillings? I use one where the head sticks out of the tent so my head is not directly exposed to the heat, although my body temperature gets raised from the sauna. Will the increase in body temperature increase mercury vapors to a dangerous level? I will probably get my mercury fillings removed this year (safely at a biological dentist). by Eugene JRL01:02:51 - For ozone therapy, you previously recommended using an antioxidant to counter the oxidating effects of ozone. I currently have a water Sota ozonator that I am using to drink ozonated water. I also purchased a molecular hydrogen breathing device, which I guess is good for antioxidants (and has other benefits). How many hours apart should I be drinking the ozone water (oxidant) from the molecular hydrogen inhalations (antioxidants)? by Eugene JRL01:03:41 - Is drinking ozonated water on a daily basis a good way to get full body ozone benefits? Will the ozonated water enter the blood stream and circulate the entire body? by Eugene JRL01:04:40 - Is it possible to get a biocompatible resin as a permanent dental crown? Also, where is your dental practice located in Mexico? by Eugene JRL01:05:56 - I've been experiencing nerve like pain originating from upper left shoulder blade/ upper back area. It used to radiate to my left index and left thumb depending how I sat. Today it was probably a 9 of scale 9-10 in regards to the nerve like pain around my left shoulder blade. Sitting in a car I couldn't adjust, leaning forward or leaning back makes the pain terrible. I tried using my posture pump to see if it helps. I usually do 18 minutes per use, but the pain got worse, I stopped using it at about 12 minutes. Should I stop using the posture pump if I'm still feeling pain in this area? Or is more pain a sign that the posture pump is working? Anything else I can do to cure the left shoulder blade discomfort? by Kris thacker01:10:07 - In your True Health Tuesday Talk you mentioned The anatomy and physiology coloring book. Who is the author of the specific book you talked about? by Kris thacker01:11:54 - My wife aged 40 has been informed about her diagnosis which is a precursor to cervical cancer. Of a rating of 1 to 3 she is 2.5. Showing signs on her cervix of a whitish slight lumpy. She has very strong periods. Also an autoimmune disease in the frontal inside of her vagina along with lymphoma in her legs and a hyper thyroid. She uses light birth control to stop her period and takes thyroid medication. Any help on those issues are greatly appreciated. by Curtishearsawho01:18:26 - I've been feeling dull like pain/discomfort above but left side of my crotch. I think I noticed it after doing some wrestling back in Nov 2022. I feel discomfort when I sneeze, but the pain ceases at the end of my sneeze. The discomfort also occurs depending on how hard I cough, subtly depending on how I stretch, flex my abs, and rarely laying down, a subtle dull/burn like pain. The discomfort is tolerable, meaning I can go about my day. Is this a sign of a hernia or something else? Anything I can do? by Kris thackerLINKS AND IDEAS SHARED BY DR.
