Seán ÓLaoire: Christ Consciousness
David's guest this month is Fr. Seán ÓLaoire who was born in Ireland and earned a B.Sc. degree (major in Mathematics) from the National University of Ireland. Ordained a catholic priest in 1972, he spent 14 years working in Kenya. He is multi-lingual and has an M.A. and Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology; he is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice. He is co-founder and the Spiritual Director of a non-denominational community called “Companions on the Journey” based in Palo Alto. Jude Currivan: The Cosmology of Love

James Finley: Action and Contemplation
David's guest this month is James Finley, Ph.D. who is faculty member of the Center for Action and Contemplation founded by Fr. Richard Rohr. Fr. Thomas Merton was Finley’s novice master and spiritual director while he was a monk at the Trappist monastery of the Abbey of Gethsemani in Kentucky. He earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology and primarily works with people suffering from the long-term effects of internalized trauma and how contemplative prayer can increase their quality of life. He has written numerous books and currently hosts the podcast Turning to the Mystics. Alex Gómez-Marín: From Physics to Consciousness
Alex Gómez-Marín is a physicist turned neuroscientist investigating human consciousness in the real world. He holds a degree in physics, a masters in biophysics, and PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Barcelona, followed by two postdoctoral fellowships as a neuroscientist at the EMBL Centre for Genomic Regulation and at the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown in Lisbon. For the last decade Alex has been a principal investigator at the Institute of Neurosciences in Alicante, Spain, and director of the Behaviour of Organism Laboratory. He is currently a senior researcher there and an associate professor of the Spanish Research Council. He was director of the Pari Centre from 2022 to 2025. In 2023 he was awarded the Linda O'Bryant research prize by the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He is currently a member of the advisory board of the Dutch Brain Interface Initiative and of the Bamberg Mathematical Consciousness Science Initiative. He is also executive editor of Robert Kuhn's the Landscape of Consciousness Website. Alex has published over a hundred articles in science journals, including Nature Neuroscience, Neuron and Science. He is also the author of The Science of the Last Threshold: a Journey to the Limits of Life, Death, and Consciousness, recently published in Spanish by Planeta. Harald Walach: From Science to Consciousness
David's guest this month is Professor Harald Walach, a clinical psychologist, philosopher of science, and researcher at the interface between medicine, psychology and consciousness studies. He is a professorial research fellow with the Next Society Institute at Kazimieras Simonavicius University in Vilnius, Lithuania. He is founding director of the Change Health Science Institute in Basel, Switzerland, where he lives as a freelance scientist and author. He is author of more than 200 peer reviewed papers, 14 books, and 100 book chapters. He is one of the 100,000 most highly cited scientists worldwide. His recent work focuses on the role of spirituality and consciousness within science, for our health system and our culture. He is the author of the Galileo Commission Report and the recent GC Report on Transhumanism.
