Values, And The People Who Gave Us Them
Hey all! And welcome to a very special (and late - though that should come as no surprise) episode of the Neurodivergent Polyamorist Podcast! This month, we reflect back on April, and talk about the people in our lives who helped shape who we both are as people. We also get a little into politics, and talk about the hypocrisy of organized religion. We even cap it off with not one, but TWO Star Trek references! To make that three and quote everyone's favourite 'plain simple tailor,' "I don't know about you, but I'd call that a bargain!" XDSo if that sounds like your cup of...whatever beverage you'd prefer, then put your headphones on, lay back, and click play. The 'Q' is for 'Questioning' (A.K.A. - If You Think You Are, You Probably Are)
Hey all! And welcome to another episode of The Neurodivergent Polyamorist Podcast. Have you found yourself wondering if you are a thing (neurospicy, queer, trans, etc.) only to realize that people who aren't that thing almost NEVER wonder the same thing about themselves? We sure have! And today, we're going to take a deep dive into the process of questioning - what it says about you, why it's important, and why its ultimately key to growing as a human in this world. If that sounds like your kind of thing, then put those headphones on, make sure you have all of your emotional support beverages handy (one for refreshment, one for flavour and savouring), press play, and join us on yet another rambling 40 minute diatribe....admit it - you love us for it! :P Arthur is a registered trademark of PBS/Marc Brown Studios, all rights reserved.Star Trek is a registered trademark of CBS/Paramount, all rights reserved.
"It's Okay to Not Be Okay"
I think this one is pretty self explanatory folks - especially in light of everything going on. In this episode of The Neurodivergent Polyamorist Podcast, Becca and I take a minute to open up about how we're feeling about events in our lives and the world in general, what we're doing to self care, and how important it is to look after ourselves. After all - any horrendous event (or series of events) in life is a marathon, not a sprint, and sometimes the most powerful act possible for any of us is simply to survive and build community with each other. We here at The Neurodivergent Polyamorist have said it before, and we'll say it again - it's okay to not be okay. And this community we've built will always be a safe space. We promise.
Hypocrisy! Hypocrisy on You! Hypocrisy on Your Cow!
Hey all! And welcome to the latest episode of The Neurodivergent Polyamorist Podcast - the show guaranteed to both make you laugh, and lose the plot...often all at once! (Thanks ADHD) In today's episode, we talk all about the hypocrisy that often comes up whenever polyamorous (or queer, or otherwise nontraditional) relationships are discussed in public. It's so common to hear things like "...well that never works" and "but which partner is your favourite?" when opening up about being polyam, and it's something that drives both of us nuts! So today, dear listeners, you get to hear us rant all about it! You've been warned XD. If that sounds like your cup of...some warm beverage of some kind (or cold! We won't yuck anyone's yum), then pop those headphones on, click play, and join us on another episode of The Neurodivergent Polyamorist Podcast. Now with 10% more meandering diatribes and references that only we get. You're welcome. ;) Star Trek is the registered trademark of Paramount. All rights reserved.
