Ep685 - Ronakuh Day, Opie, Stuttering John, Brendan Schaub

This week we’re recording at the Nobody Likes Onions studios in sunny Las Vegas. We start off with Opie who is in a very bad mood because Christmas costs money and Opie doesn’t appear to have any cash on hand. But Ron the Waiter more than makes up for it by being in an amazing mood in anticipation of Ronakuh - the livestream where he’ll get all of the superchats and Opie will deliver additional dollars (but not a 1 to 1 match because that’s probably illegal).  Patrick Melton cohosts the episode as we transition into Brendan Schaub claiming he finally “gets it.” His new strategy is to lean into the hate and he’s absolutely terrible at it. He’s somehow proud of his terrible special because he was new at comedy and his friends are very funny guys. Huh? Stuttering John is planning yet another lolsuit against Chad Zumock and Kevin Brennan; it couldn’t be more of a nothing burger. Ep684 - Howard Re-Signs, Opie, Seinfeld, Stuttering John, Bill Burr, Aaron Imholte

We start off this week checking out Jerry Seinfeld on We Might Be Drunk with Mark Normand and Sam Morril. Seinfeld doesn’t give AF while Mark and Sam nervously try to get him to say something, anything interesting.  Aaron Imholte from Steel Toe missed the goal by $140 on Tuesday and tried to act like he wasn’t upset about it. On Wednesday’s show we find out he was very, very upset about it. Bill Burr has life figured out; he even knows how to have fun at Disneyland now. Amazing! Howard Stern announces three more years at SiriusXM. He claims his entire staff didn't know until he said it live on the air. If that's true that's pretty messed up. These are all adults who have financial obligations to their families. Why would Howard want to stress these people out right before the holidays? Opie announces that Thursday is “Ron Day” and that all superchat money will go to Ron the Waiter. We’ll see about that. Miss Judy returns to Stuttering John’s show and he’s never been hornier or more hard-up. This week we’re checking in on Stephen Baldwin’s podcast about bad movies. Well, it’s supposed to be about bad movies, but it’s actually just an awkward conversation with Hollywood celebrities who are at the point in their career where they have enough free time to talk to Stephen Baldwin.  Doug from Good Times Great Movies is appalled that Michael Madsen spent over ten minutes waiting for Stephen to show up. Jamarmalaid has a new Christmas song that is no Granny’s House. Howard Stern talks retirement with fake callers and embarrassing phony prank phone calls. Opie does his FU Friday show with both Ron the Waiter and Tony P. Ron does the wrong homework assignment and Tony does the homework assignment wrong. Stuttering John performed a stand-up show in the midwest and comes to the sad realization that more Dabbleverse fans come out to see him than anyone else. After some dumb Dabbleverse drama about KarmicX and Felicia Gillespie breaking up, we check in on the latest from Bill Burr. It’s amazing that as most of his fanbase turns on him and his numbers dwindle, he’s discovered the secret of life. Ol’ enlightened Billy is now struggling with how to be both happy and funny. Spoiler - he’s neither.  On the Fighter and the Kid, Brendan Schaub gets very defensive when his guest, Timmy No Brakes, asks why he gets so much hate. Bryan and Brendan need to get on the same page because they seem to have very different strategies when it comes to handling detractors. Stuttering John is very upset that VTL said he’s an alcoholic so he convinces his audience that he doesn’t have a drinking problem. We’re convinced. Adam was checking in on Opie and his new cohost, another open micer who is way too old to be an open micer.
