Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens (BBC Learning)
A new adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel in ten episodes. The story follows Oliver's journey from the workhouse to the streets of Victorian London, where he becomes ensnared by Fagin's band of thieves, before finally discovering the secret of his birth and background. The adaptation is faithful to the original novel in terms of the language used and the events portrayed. Programmes available on Fridays during school term.
