Gav the Mechanic has worked in just about every discipline of professional cycling and triathlon. Get to know Gav from his beginning at a bike shop in Delaware, to the  Garmin pro tour team in 2012, Optum Pro Cycling team in 2013, then joining the dirt squad in 2014 with the Specialized S-Racing XC team, and much more. Today Gav has his own shop in Boulder, CO where he continues to work with several triathletes and some of the top athletes in Boulder.

The Specialized Factory Racing team has seen enormous success, and a huge driver of that has been Benno Willeit From starting back as Christoph Sauser's mechanic and not even knowing how to put pedals on a bike, all the way to the feed zone in London 2012 as Jaroslav Kulhavy won the gold. After spending a couple years with the DH team, then Enduro and E-bike teams, Benno is back with the XC team for 2021.
