Magdala Presents The Rosary From The Holy Land

Magdala presents The Rosary - from the shores of the Sea of Galilee in the Holy Land, an opportunity to look upon the face of Jesus with his mother, the human being who best knows her son. We will strive to listen as Mary did: in the Spirit, reflecting on key moments of Jesus’ life called mysteries, pondering them, and keeping them in our hearts. (Lk 1:28-38; Lk 2:51).Repetition helps us assimilate the Lord’s life and be conformed ever more completely to him so that “it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me” (Gal 2:20).Beginning with Scripture that situates us in each moment, our minds are naturally lifted to the Father, so we pray the Lord’s Prayer.Repeating the Hail Mary from the Gospel of Luke gives us a share in God's wonder and pleasure as he contemplates his ‘masterpiece’: the Incarnation of the Son on Earth.Closing each mystery with a doxology (the Glory be) expresses how Christ’s life leads us to a Trinitarian encounter. Now, let us “set out into the deep” (Duc In Altum) through this prayer of contemplation, so we can better know and proclaim before the world that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, “the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6)
