We discuss the theme surrounding his new book "Disciple The Nations" and take a look at unraveling some of the historical errors in furthering the gospel that the church has made. Christian vs Secular “love” with Jason Garwood // S2-EP5
On this episode of The Postmil Podcast we chat with Dr. Jason Garwood about what is going on in Christendom with respect to the idea of "love". Eschatological Hiding Places // S2-EP4
Listen to us ramble! So on this episode of the postmil podcast we take aim at a recent post from the monergism facebook page that was being shared around by various people. In the post, the author went on to say that the apostle Paul's aim was not to christianize the entire roman empire... so we ask? What exactly WAS his goal then? The reason why we have titled this episode "Eschatological hiding places" is because in our opinion this type of post does not encourage christians to "get out there" and preach the gospel to the whole world and to bring about God's justice in society as Psalm 82:3 (for example) tells us to do. So we tend to hide behind our erroneous rapture thinking or pietistic eschatologies and just keep the "status quo" in the modern evangelical church or not really affecting culture at all.. or worse yet, have our church culture slowly transform into a secularized version which is really not the culture God intended us to have at all! Drug use and the Occult // S2-EP3
What's the connection between drug use and the spiritual realm? The secularist would have to say "nothing, lol... don't be dumb religious folk" ... which of course will be the answer according to their worldview. As Christians, we acknowledge that there is a spiritual realm and that experiences can be "spiritual" from time to time... in fact, for the Christian, ALL experiences are both metaphysical and spiritual equally. We engage with God through Christ and the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth... But there are those who, wittingly or unwittingly, delve into the evil side of the spiritual realm... to their detriment and destruction. As missionaries on the streets in our city, working often with drug addicts we hear all kinda of stories about visions, and spiritual oppression. We take a look at Deuteronomy 18 and its use of the word "sorcery" and compare it to modern day spiritual experiences in areas like drug use, native spirituality and new agism.
