Every Friday, I answer one or more questions related to the end times. This Friday Q&A addresses three distinct theological questions that reflect common concerns among Bible students. The first question explores the timing of the Rapture in relation to the Seal Judgments described in Revelation, seeking clarity on whether this event occurs before or during the Tribulation period. The second question tackles one of the most challenging apologetic issues facing Christians today—how to explain seemingly harsh Old Testament laws to skeptics, particularly those involving capital punishment and ceremonial restrictions that appear difficult to reconcile with a loving God. Billionaires See the Antichrist Coming While Pastors Avoid Prophecy

On this program, I examine a fascinating development—Peter Thiel, the billionaire co-founder of PayPal and early Facebook investor, is delivering sold-out private lectures about the Antichrist at San Francisco’s Commonwealth Club. Despite being an openly gay, libertarian venture capitalist worth over $20 billion, Thiel is deeply engaged with biblical prophecy, using Daniel, Thessalonians, and Revelation as his primary sources. He’s developed what he calls “the plot hole” theory—that the Antichrist will use fear of nuclear weapons, AI, pandemics, and global catastrophe to scare people, then offer to save them with the slogan “peace and safety” from 1 Thessalonians 5.This raises a sobering question: Why is a secular tech billionaire talking about the Antichrist when so many pastors won’t? Paul taught new believers in Thessalonica about the Antichrist, the Rapture, and the Day of the Lord in just 6 to 8 weeks, giving them a crash course in eschatology. Yet today, most churches have abandoned teaching prophecy altogether. When secularists begin to wake up to the rise of the Antichrist, it should wake the Church to the nearness of Christ’s coming.In the second half, I continue our exposition of Revelation with chapter 14:1–5, examining the triumphant 144,000 who stand with the Lamb on Mount Zion. After the darkness of chapter 13’s focus on the Beast and his Mark, chapter 14 provides an interlude of encouragement—a preview of coming attractions showing God’s ultimate victory. I explore five characteristics of these conquerors: they are preserved (all 144,000 make it through the Tribulation), purchased (bought from the slave market of sin), praising (singing a new song only they know), pure (celibate male virgins devoted entirely to the Lord), and pursuing (following the Lamb wherever He goes). Daniel 7:8, 24—The Little Horn

In this episode, I examine what I believe is the first clear passage in all of Scripture that mentions the coming Antichrist—Daniel 7:8,24, where he’s called “the little horn.” This passage serves as the biblical origin point for understanding this future world ruler, who appears in about 100 passages throughout Scripture. Building on the foundation of Daniel chapter 2’s metallic image showing successive world empires, Daniel 7 presents these same empires from God’s perspective as wild beasts—Babylon as a lion, Medo-Persia as a bear, Greece as a four-headed leopard, and Rome as a terrible, destructive beast.The key addition in Daniel 7 is the ten horns on the fourth beast, representing ten individual kings who will rule a reunited Roman Empire in the End Times. Among these ten horns, a “little horn” emerges—initially small and inconspicuous but quickly rising to power by uprooting three of the original horns who oppose him. This little horn has “eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that speaks boastfully,” indicating he’s a man who will become the greatest boaster of all time, ultimately declaring himself to be God.This passage reveals why it’s fruitless speculation to try identifying the Antichrist today—he’ll begin as a “little horn,” an insignificant figure who catapults to power after the Rapture. For three and a half years (time, times, and half a time), he’ll persecute God’s people, change times and laws, and exercise unprecedented global control.
