Raisa Alvarado

We talk about Linguistic compliance, code- switching, and our "gold star lifestyles". English Grad Student Roundtable

This weeks episode is an English graduate student round table with guest Madeline Espinoza, Edgar Lopez Anguiano and Isaac Arias. We try to answer the question, “When did you know you were good at writing?” but find out early on that it’s not an easy question to answer. The rest of a conversation is a series of questions and responses that tries to find answers. 

Corbyn Wild

In this weeks episode, I talk to Corbyn Wild, an English professor at College of the Desert in Palm Desert California. Corbyn is a CSUSB Alum, where she got her Masters in Composition and Rhetoric. Corbyn and I talk about her time teaching first year composition, student perspectives on writing, and the idea of a student "becoming a student".
