Putin as Gog? The Russian Leader’s Role in Bible Prophecy

On this week’s program, I examine how the ongoing Russia–Ukraine war, now grinding on for over 1,300 days with catastrophic casualties, is setting the stage for the fulfillment of the Gog-Magog prophecy in Ezekiel chapters 38–39. Written over 2,600 years ago, this prophecy predicts an end-time invasion of Israel by an alliance led by Russia, along with Iran, Turkey, and several Islamic nations. As President Trump pursues peace negotiations between Putin and Zelensky, I see three specific ways that current events foreshadow what’s coming.First, Russia’s obsession with recreating its Soviet past and former glory could serve as the “hooks in the jaws” that God uses to draw Russia into this invasion. Putin has called the Soviet Union’s breakup “the greatest political catastrophe of the 20th century,” and this nostalgia for empire could motivate Russian involvement in an attack on Israel.Second, the growing division between Europe and Russia creates the East-versus-West alignment we see in end-times prophecy, where the Antichrist from a reunited Roman Empire will have a peace covenant with Israel that Russia’s invasion will directly challenge.Third, Vladimir Putin himself bears the evil characteristics we might expect from the final Russian ruler called “Gog.” While I’m careful not to conclusively identify Putin as Gog, he is certainly “Gog-like” and may be setting the stage for this prophetic fulfillment.In the second half of our program, I continue our study of Revelation 13:11–18, examining the False Prophet and the Mark of the Beast—666. Exposing the Enemy, Part 4

This is the most important message I’ve brought in this series because I’m talking about the real Antichrist spirit and how it comes to divide us from our relationship with God the Father. When Jesus said, “the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in me,” He was revealing Satan’s ultimate strategy—to attack our father-child relationship with God. The Antichrist spirit is fundamentally an anti-father spirit that tries to keep us from relating to God as our loving Heavenly Father.I share how Satan lost his rightful authority when Jesus defeated him on the cross, yet he still rules the world system that rebels against God. Revelation 6: The Four Horsemen Ride

In this episode, I walk through one of the most sobering chapters in all of Scripture— Revelation chapter 6 and the opening of the first six Seal Judgments. We see a dramatic transition from the worship scenes of chapters 4-5 to the warfare that will engulf the earth during the Tribulation period. I examine each of the Four Horsemen—the white horse representing the Antichrist's deceptive peace, the red horse of warfare, the black horse of economic collapse and famine, and the pale horse of death that will claim one-fourth of earth's population. We then explore the Fifth Seal’s martyrdom and the earth-shaking cosmic disturbances of the Sixth Seal that will cause people to cry out for the rocks to fall on them rather than face God's wrath. These judgments parallel perfectly with Jesus' Olivet Discourse in Matthew chapter 24, confirming that God's wrath begins at the start of the Tribulation.
