Shoes of Zeal
What helps us cultivate a zeal for speaking of Christ? In 2004 Dr. John Dreisbach preached a sermon on Ephesians 6:15 explaining what it means to put on “shoes of zeal.” Paul’s example of being separated unto the Gospel (Romans 1:1), of not being ashamed of the Gospel (Romans 1:16), of experiencing woe if he did not preach the Gospel (1 Corinthians 9:16), and of knowing that the Gospel was hidden to those who are lost (2 Corinthians 4:3) constantly motivated him. We hope Dr. Dreisbach’s message from Ephesians 6 and his exemplary life will stir your evangelistic passion for sharing the Gospel.
Revived by God's Words
How can we be delivered from pessimism and have a faith-filled, confident expectation that God will work and is working? God’s words sustain and revive our faith. When we are going through dark times and are dismayed by our feelings, we should review God’s promises. Minister today with joyful expectation that He will do as He has promised!
The Eternal Gospel for All Nations
The eternal Gospel (Revelation 14:6–7) has four key truths. (1) There is only one true God, our Creator. (2) God is the Judge of mankind. To Him alone we will give an account of our lives. (3) We are to respond in faith and reverence. (4) We can receive the reward of escaping judgment and being part of His Kingdom forever. This session highlighted the importance of the eternal Gospel to missions.
The Goal of GFA’s Required Goal Planning
Prayerfully looking at the past and preparing for the future is biblical. In this session, Tim and Laura Berrey discuss how they set aside a specific time for evaluating last year’s goals and setting goals for the new year in their personal lives, family, and ministry. It is important to set goals that are specific, measurable, actionable, realistic, and time-bound.
Wherever You are, Be All There
In ministering cross-culturally, you can be physically present in one place while your heart is in another. How do you assess where your heart is? Are you withdrawing from people, even while continuing in public ministry? This session considers responsibilities missionaries have outside their host country and practical suggestions for managing technologies wisely.
