Evil Dead
Remus of GamerGate Part 1 and Part 2 returns to discuss horror. This year we watched the horror classics Evil Dead 1 & 2 (I rewatched Army of Darkness, but we never really got to it) and Cabin In The Woods, which we spoil so beware. We also discuss Halloween, Blair Witch, and several other films. You can follow along if you’ve never seen Evil Dead, however you must go out and watch the first 2, it was one of the most satisfying movie watching experiences either of us have had in a long time. Cabin In The Woods is just the icing on the cake. Thank you for subscribing. Leave a comment or share this episode.
The Mythology of Artificial Intelligence
A discussion and reading of an essay on the mythological implications of Artificial Intelligence as the new monster of the digital age. Quick correction: the Balrogs went to war alongside Morgoth in the past, not Sauron. They were never his ally or under his control, which upholds the point I was making. The essay I read, The Digital HorizonThe Wired article on the philosophical origins of Peter Thiels thought. Thank you for subscribing. Leave a comment or share this episode.

VideoDrome
Last Things joins me once again to discuss the classic, prophetic David Cronenberg film Videodrome. In so doing, we expound on the McLuhean and Baudrillardian concepts that the film superbly depicts.Last Things does a Christmas film festival every year that we blurb at the beginning and the end of this episode, simply navigate to his Substack page and follow him, and stay tuned to both of us for updates, links, and announcements. Here is our episode on Blade Runner 2049 that we recorded for the first annual fest, highly recommended. I am convinced this is the best, most thorough interpretation of the film available anywhere. Thank you for subscribing. Leave a comment or share this episode.
