Series Pilot: Return Policy

The recently deceased Chip Clearly and Bonita von Wangencamp adjust to their afterlife – as proprietors of “The Bootique” in the town of Curdle Holler. Chip and Bonita need more fright power to reimburse their customers, or Sheriff Bones Malone will throw them in monster jail. While seeking help, they’ll meet kooky Holler residents like: Rotchester, the skulking store manager; Pumpkin, an anthropomorphic pumpkin, Minerva, a skilled inventor with “brains”; the urbane and mysterious Old Coot; and the surly skeleton sheriff. As the sheriff’s deadline draws near, our newest Curdle Holler residents will also learn about an upcoming election (between Caretaker Belfry Batsinger and challenger Albert Ghost), and begin to ponder their true purpose in this strange new town. S1 E2: Pushing Daisies

The sheriff delivers at-risk youth to The Bootique, and Bonita uncovers a crisis while checking Instagrim: the troubled teens have released dancing flowers throughout Curdle Holler, mesmerizing its residents with an inane, cheerful song. Now, Chip and Bonita must recruit allies – including Pastor Munch, the teens and the Old Coot – to track down all the flowers before Halloween is ruined. With the store “unattended,” Count Fangula and Pumpkin investigate a haunted mirror. Meanwhile, power fluctuations plague the town, and it sure seems like Batsinger and the sheriff are up to no good. S1 E3: The Rock

Caretaker Batsinger, a professed lover of antiquities, purchases a mysterious old tea set from The Bootique, but Chip is arrested when he can’t locate the missing spoon. At the jail, Sheriff Malone tries to terrify Chip with his “completely unscripted” tour, in which they encounter the town’s most fearsome prisoner: a towering golem named “Rocky.” Back at the shop, Chip’s friends search for the spoon, and Bonita joins the Albert Ghost campaign to strike back at the odious Batsinger. Later, after Chip and Bonita overhear a distressing phone call, Albert sheds some light on the power fluctuations and all the strange behavior from Batsinger and the sheriff. S1 E4: The Ghost List

Following through on their promise to Albert, Chip and Bonita devise a plan to infiltrate Belfry Batsinger’s mausoleum party and collect evidence of his corruption. To enter the party, they’ll disguise themselves as real haunted housewife Fibula von Snap and her mummy hubby, “Don.” Rotchester feeds them intel through a small radio, Minerva runs tech support, and Count Fangula parks the getaway van. Chip and Bonita must improvise when the plan runs into some unexpected complications. S1 E5: Friday Night Frights

It’s election night, and the turnout looks grim. That’s because it’s also the night of Curdle Holler’s big bonecoming game, where the whole town will gather to cheer on the undefeated Hobgoblins. Candidate Albert Ghost hopes that Chip and Bonita will pull through and deliver their evidence, unaware that the Bootique owners are trapped in the catacombs beneath the mausoleum. With help from their friends, Chip and Bonita will try to survive the absurd trials of the labyrinth, so they can appear on the field at halftime and make their case against Batsinger.
