VEGCAST 120 - ANIMALS AND SOCIETY

Vegcast 120 features an interview with Carolyn Mullin of the National Museum of Animals and Society, a new institution documenting this evolving relationship. There's also a comical tune from Vegan Smythe about trying to persuade someone to go vegan, and a Science Fact about the danger of eating meat being nearly equivalent to that of smoking cigarettes. There are also announcements of interest, including one about the upcoming schedule of Vegcasts.

VEGCAST 119 - POWER FOODS FOR THE BRAIN

Vegcast 119 features a chat with Vegcast favorite Dr. Neal Barnard of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, who has a lot to say about food and the brain. More, in fact, than could fit in a recent V for Veg column for which this interview was originally conducted, so we are sharing it here. There is also a Science Fact about diet and Alzheimers disease as seen in the change in Japanese diets, and a tune from Philly band Every Other Day.

Vegcast 118 is our 2013 Sounds of Summerfest edition, featuring sonic memories and spoken clips from NAVS Summerfest earlier this month. Among the sounds are birdsong, along with identifications by Ted Barnett, a chat with Amie Hamlin on the first public school to go vegetarian, a clip of Jefferey Cohan of Jewish Vegetarians of North America on attending his frist Summerfest, a preview of Dr. Michael Gregers science talk, favorite moments from karaoke night, Rae Sikora on being inducted into the Vegetarian Hall of Fame and Rich Roll on maximum nutrition for maximum human performance. This show also has the premiere of the new Green Beings song Animal Free.
