Lets take a look at "routine" procedures that we are all told that we need during pregnancy. You can take as much as a hands on or hands off for almost all of these. You have a choice and you always have a right to say "no". Pregnancy does not turn off your rights as human being - but it does require some education to make informed and intelligent decisions.

There are a lot of emotions that flow after a positive pregnancy test. In addition to excitement, relief, and happiness, there can also be fear and anxiety. The first-trimester experience can be challenging even if everything is going fine. My opinion is that it is best to buck the trend of not telling anyone that you're pregnant and let yourself share the ups and especially the downs with a trusted friend or even a circle of friends. It will make a difference!
