WHS presents: Rebekah Kennedy with Traumatika

This episode we welcome actress and producer Rebekah Kennedy to talk Traumatika Rebekah Kennedy began acting on the stage. Rebekah spent all of her time doing theatre and it wasn't until later that she truly discovered the screen. Soon came an amazing opportunity when Rebekah booked the lead role Hanna in the feature, "House Hunting" with Marc Singer and Art LaFleur and then went on to play Caroline Boutine in the feature, "Creature," starring Mehcad Brooks and Serinda Swan. Then came another wonderful opportunity when she booked a supporting role in the feature, "Season of the Witch" with Nicolas Cage. Rebekah made her television debut on the TNT show, "Memphis Beat." She also had a guest star role in the long running TV show "Criminal Minds" on CBS, the lead guest star Esther Labott in The Book of Esther on "Law & Order SVU" on NBC, and most recently as the crazy drug addict Melly Wyatt in "Station 19" on ABC. Rebekah first hit the big screen when she played the young Peasant Turk Girl in "Season of the Witch" with Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman, which landed in theaters January 2011, "Creature" which opened in September 2011, and then as one of the leads in the horror film "Bastard" with After Dark Films and Fox Home Entertainment which opened in October 2015. "A Dark Foe" with Graham Greene and Selma Blair opened in select theaters July 2021 and most recently "The Unseen" which played in select theaters June 30th 2023 with RJ Mitte. Rebekah can also be seen in Netflix's "To The Bone" starring Lily Collins and Keanu Reeves. "Let Me Make You A Martyr" with Mark Boone Junior, "Street Level" with Sons of Anarchy's David Labrava and Mark Boone Junior, and "Limbo" with James Purefoy. She most recently can be seen starring as the mute girl Jojo in the Amazon prime movie "Los Angeles" and as the starring witch Masha in "Two Witches" that is taking the horror world by storm. She also most recently wrapped "The Veil" with Sean O'Bryan that premiered at the Austin Film Festival and "Crust" with Sean Whalen, Daniel Roebuck, and Alan Ruck that will be releasing this Fall. Rebekah is also heavily involved with reaching out to the homeless and has done work with the Covenant House in Los Angeles. This week we welcome both Kyle Valle and Erin Áine to talk about their new film ZombieCON Vol. 1: A group of cosplaying friends trigger a zombie apocalypse and are forced to traverse a zombie-infested Los Angeles to save their loved one Kyle Valle is known for ZombieCON (2018), Journeyman (2015) and ZombieCON Vol. 1 (2024). He has been married to Erin Áine since 2024. They have one child. Growing up in Atlanta, Erin began performing in school plays and musicals as well as singing in Atlanta's International Youth Chorus before signing with a theatrical agent at 11. Erin built a thriving acting career, booking roles in Bobby Jones, A Stroke of Genius, indie darlings Dance of the Dead and The Fat Boy Chronicles, NBC's Field of Vision, and worked as a host in Guatemala for travel series WayFinder. While studying at Vanderbilt University., she booked co-star and lead roles in shows and films including The Vampire Diaries, Revolution, Quarantine 2: Terminal, and Tom Holland's Twisted Tales, etc. Since relocating to Los Angeles, Erin co-founded production company Big Squid Productions and streaming platform MewNowTV with husband Kyle Valle and has produced, cast, and worked as 1st or 2nd Director while occasionally starring in over a dozen short films, series and features. Brett Alan Bentman is a screenwriter and director originally from New Jersey. He co-owns, alongside his wife and film producer Tiffany McDonald Bentman, B22 Films and Sanddollar Pictures. He is most known for the films 90 Feet From Home, Copper Bill, Texas Twister, the Bull Shark trilogy and the upcoming Minnie's Midnight Massacre as well as Aladdin and Aladdin's Revenge. Heidi has been involved in film since the summer of 2023. Sadie is an actress, writer, producer and documentarian with an award named in her honor (AMDOC'S Sadie Katz Award for Hustle.) She spent the last two decades balancing being a single mom and a scream queen genre actress and recently opened own production company "See You Next Tuesday Films" with the goal of telling female focused stories that don't involve sexed-up super villains or girls running through the woods. Sadie is mother to Gen Z artist/model Griffin Katz. She is engaged to documentarian Myles Reiff with whom she is expecting a child this September. They live in Atwater Village with their two cats Audrey Hepburn & Deliliah and a precocious chihuahua named Buffy. Johanna Rae Born in Winslow, Arkansas population 229, Johanna pursued her athletic dreams, becoming a high school track star earning her a full scholarship to the University or Arkansas at Little Rock a competitive D1 school. It was in college that Johanna discovered the arts, having never seen theater before in her small town. Her passion for sports turned into a passion for acting on both the stage and the screen. Her drive to become an actress led her to Los Angeles to continue her studies. Currently, Johanna is starring in several award winning Indie films.
