David Gilbert is a poet and a writer, who this year published a collection of his work in his pamphlet ‘Elephants {Fragile}’. Beginning with the feeling of being a late learner catching up with poetry’s form and tradition, we explore the types of poetry David has been inspired to write on his journey. Hear about the poetry that got him back into writing, the absolute value of discipline in writing and being with other great poets, the silence in his household that still urges David’s curiosity to mine for stories, the effect of digital media on publishing routes for poetry and his new venture to combine the two loves of his life: mental health and creativity.
