Drew Lock, Missouri QB, talks to The QB Podcast about getting ready for the NFL draft [Ep. 13]
Drew Lock, the former Missouri QB, and highly touted NFL prospect talks to Quincy and Brian about his childhood recognition that he had game, choosing football over basketball (Dre had game!), making the adjustment from high school to college football, and his dream of being an NFL QB. Our interview with Luck was a couple weeks before his NFL Pro Day, where Lock would go on to impress NFL scouts, and likely elevate his draft selection. He's being touted as a 1st round selection. Not bad for a guy who said he had a "chip on the shoulder" coming out of playing high school ball in the Midwest.
At 20:17 of the conversation, Lock gives some of the best advice you'll ever hear for high school QBs on focusing beyond your team and your city, and remembering that you're competing against guys throughout the country.
Lock is trained by QB coach, Jordan Palmer.
